In the current era of industrial revolution 4.0 and digital transformation, the mastery of fundamental technical skills remains the cornerstone of elite handball performance, requiring training methodologies that are both innovative and adaptive. This study investigates the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a creative strategy to harmonize professional coaching with traditional assessment tools. While previous research has predominantly focused on manual observation and physical conditioning, this study evaluates the implementation of an AI-driven technical skill instrument to measure its impact on the accuracy and consistency of basic techniques like passing and shooting, specifically within the context of long-term athlete development. The primary objective is to develop a "Smart Coaching" framework that bridges technological precision with pedagogical expertise. Utilizing a Research and Development (R&D) design with a mixed-methods approach, the study involves the use of computer vision software and wearable sensors to collect biomechanical data across professional youth squads. Findings indicate that the AI-integrated system significantly enhances the objectivity of technical evaluations, providing a positive scaffolding effect on the athletes' self-correction capabilities; however, findings also suggest that psychological grit variables remain largely unaffected by the technological intervention. In conclusion, the harmonization of AI with basic assessment tools offers a future-proof methodology that optimizes coaching efficiency and talent identification. This research implies that while technology provides precision, the human element of coaching remains vital for holistic professional training.
